I've finally mustered up the energy to start blogging again. With a small panic attack about planning out of the way, I'm ready to go and so is Dennis...I think. Not much has taken place since the last blog, which is fine because we should take a break, clear our heads and start planning again with renewed energy and excitement.
What have we achieved since the last post:
1) Picked up samples of our invitation and that's it. They are sitting in a brown envelope under the ottoman. Next steps: Start thinking about wording and how are we going to print the darn things? Also, some assembly is required: paper + card stock + ribbon
2) Met with a florist. He was very passionate about flowers; the way he described my calla lily bouquet wrapped in the same ribbon as my dress made my heart melt. Oh did I mention that he was way out of our budget? Next steps: Find a budget friendly florist. We have two appointments with florists in Whitby and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that their prices are within our range.
3) I reviewed the wedding budget with a friend who just got married. She had great advice on how we could cut costs and if our current prices were accurate. I highly recommend discussing your budget with someone else.
4) After waiting over 3 months, my wedding dress is finally here! I feel excited, happy and nervous about seeing it again. I know i'll love it because I loved it the moment I saw it. Having the dress arrive just means that October will be here before we know it. Small pieces of this crazy, fun and memorable puzzle are slowing being put together to make up two memorable and beautiful days.
