Next: Flowers, DJ and Saree shopping

Now that we've ordered our cake and chosen a photographer we are going to try and get a DJ, find the best price for flowers, and make our first attempt at Indian wedding clothes shopping. It will good to get an idea if a saree would be more comfortable to wear or a salwaar. Also, it will be fun to see Dennis in Indian wear.

Wedding Cake: Check!

Put down our deposit for the wedding cake! It's getting made at The Wedding Cake Shoppe (www.theweddingcakeshoppe.com). We found the cake in a magazine and they're able to recreate it! - Dennis.

Wait, there's still more to do!!! What about the butter cream filling? Did you know there are 20+ flavours to choose from? I think we have to enlist the help of family and friends to help us choose. Cupcake testers could be in the near future for you! - Devika

The Contenders

Here are few of the contenders in my quest to find the perfect dress. I tried on the first two dresses in a bridal store that I drove past almost every day when going to Dennis’ house. It was very exciting because I always wondered if I would get a chance to go into the bridal store and when I did it was with my mom, Dennis’ mom and sister. The last dress is my dream dress but I’m happy to say that I got something similar which I fell in love with immediately.I'm glad I found a dress because I could spend months trying on all the beautiful dresses.

Cake testing!

We went to the Bridal Show on the weekend and stopped off at "The Wedding Cake Shoppe" (www.theweddingcakeshoppe.com). We ended up booking a consultation for today to talk to someone about their wedding cakes. We found a cake in a magazine a few weeks ago and decided it was the one we want! After speaking to the consultant and getting prices, this shoppe will be one of our choices to go with. We had a tasting of their cupcakes as well and it was really good! Time to compare prices... - Dennis.
